Schwörstadt is a municipality in the district of Lörrach about 30 km east of Basel. Due to its location between the Hochrhein and the Dinkelberg, a foothills of the southern Black Forest, as well as various nature reserves on the Swiss side of the Rhine, the village is wonderfully idyllic. There are countless opportunities for hiking, cycling, swimming and water sports such as sailing, canoeing and dragon boat races. An indoor swimming pool and various clubs round off the leisure activities. The family-friendly village has kindergartens and a primary school. Secondary schools are also available in the surrounding area. In addition to small businesses and grocery stores in Bad Säckingen, 7 km away, which provide the local supply, farms supply the village with fresh, regional products.
